Facebook is where feature all our wonderful user’s stories about the dogs they “rented.” Here are some great ones!

Beau had an exciting day when Jarod took him out! Beau is one of most energetic dogs we have at the shelter, therefore many people are just too nervous. He is super strong! Jarod braved Beau’s energy and took him for a hike here in the High Country. He said, “ I use Boone Bark & Borrow a lot, so I always ask for whatever dog has not gotten out in a while. The staff automatically knew, its true, even I haven’t taken Beau out. I felt bad though, obviously this dog has so much energy, he should get to expel some of it instead of being in a cage, so I took him for a nice long hike. It was a challenge at first, but Beau is a good boy. I’m definitely going to be coming back to walk him again.”

Gray also came to play last week. He told us, “my old dog Buster just passed away a couple of weeks ago. I don’t think I’m ready to adopt just yet, but I was getting sad without playing with a dog. I’m glad my friends convinced me to hang out at the shelter for a little. I took Boomer out and I think it was the best thing for me, it really helped me feel less sad and get a step closer to adopting another dog.”

Just this past week Kelsey took out Frank, she wrote in telling us, “I miss my dogs so much while I’m at school. I live too far to take weekend trips back home, so coming to the Humane Society is a great opportunity to let off that end of the semester stress. I got to play with Frank this weekend. I took him for a hike and he reminded me so much of my dog! He loved being outside and chasing squirrels! I’m so happy that I got to spend time with these dogs.”

Diego took Hutch out back in September, he says, "Hutch was such a fun dog to hang out with for the day. I'm so happy that I had the opportunity to hike with a buddy. I will definitely be coming back to the shelter, next time I'm taking him to the lake!"
